Natalie has written an article published in the Review about an important recent adoption case from the President of the High Court Family Division. It is an example of how the Human Rights Act enables the family court to make the law work humanely, in this case allowing an adoption order to be made in favour of a step-father whose wife had sadly died in such a way that his son could also retain his ties with his maternal family. Modern families come in all shapes and sizes and we know at NGA Law how important it is for the law to recognise children’s lived realities.
