Throughout 2007 and 2008, our founder Natalie Gamble was a prominent voice in the fight for legal recognition for same-sex parents. A key defender of the new rights for lesbian mums, as well as changes to surrogacy law to recognise a broader range of families, in the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill 2008, Natalie was widely quoted across the national media and spoke to MPs and members of the House of Lords in Parliament. Her work was later recognised by a Stonewall Hero of the Year Award nomination.
